2PM 우영이 지난 3월 오리콘 데일리 차트 2위, 일본 최대 음반 매장인 타워레코드 시부야점 데일리 세일즈 1위의 쾌거를 거둔 일본 첫 솔로 싱글 앨범 ‘R.O.S.E’를 한국에서 공개한다. 앨범 ‘R.O.S.E’는 동명의 타이틀곡 ‘R.O.S.E’를 포함 총 8곡을 수록하였으며, 앨범 수록곡 모두 우영이 작사 작곡은 물론 앨범 전체의 프로듀싱까지 맡아 우영의 감성과 개성을 아낌없이 담아낸 앨범이다. 타이틀곡 ‘R.O.S.E (Korean Ver.)’는 심플하고 펑키한 그루브를 느낄 수 있는 곡으로, 안무, 표정, 노래를 부르는 방법이 틀에 짜이지 않는 자유로움을 느낄 수 있는 곡이다. 또 다른 수록곡 ‘Happy Birthday (Korean Ver.)’는 우영이 팬들에게 보답하는 선물과 같은 곡으로 우영이 특히 애착을 느끼는 특별한 곡이다.
